Miracle Walk is an annual walk-a-thon that was created by a family
in gratitude for the care their daughter received during a three-month
stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Saint Barnabas
Medical Center. A team of dedicated parents have joined together
to organize and participate in this event which raises financial
support for the NICU. In the past 9 years, Miracle Walk has
raised more than $2.5 million to purchase advanced medical equipment
for the NICU.
Friends, family, and community members may sponsor a walker, make
a donation, or walk any distance that is comfortable for them. Miracle
Walk kicks-off with a host of family-friendly activities, refreshments,
and entertainment including a DJ, face painting, balloon art, cartoon
characters and more. Scenic Verona Park boasts a stroller-friendly
path to allow everyone in the family to get involved and make a difference.
